Thsese chairs came from a local thrift store. They cost $20 each. Highway robbery. Jesse James used a gun I tell you. Well, I was a babe at buying from thrift stores, I didn't know that was a little high. (Like to see them try those prices on me now). Stripped and sanded to bare wood.Stained and reupholstered. Deceided one should be a real lady and the other a gentleman. These pictures show the work/story that led to this encore performance.

From here there was no turning back. I seem to always be on the hunt for a great chair in need of an Encore.

ReplyDeleteThese chairs look GREAT! Don't feel bad about the $20. I think for a solid chair that isn't bad at all. Especially if you had fun reviving them and either have a great use for them or can sell them. Both chairs...very handsome.
